The Maya Cosmovision is described in full detail in the magical text of the Mayas: the Popul Vuh (the Book of Advice), a document compiled in the 16th century narrating that, in a previous static time where everything was a primordial sea, the creator gods decided to get together and create the universe. They made the earth, the heavens and the underworld rise from the waters and decided to create living beings and mankind to honor and worship them.
