About Quintana Roo
Mexico’s second busiest airport. Direct connections to three continents.
Cancún International Airport is the second-busiest in Mexico, and is considered as one of the airports with the best international connection service in Mexico. It serves more than seven million passengers each year. Up to 69 airlines operate from the airport, connecting the State with the main cities of Mexico, the Americas and Europe. Cancún is just a two hour flight from North America.
Cozumel has an international airport in which 29 Mexican, American and European airlines operate. In 2012 it served almost 223,000 passengers, most of them international.
Finally, Chetumal airport only operates domestic routes via Mexico City.

76% of the hotels in Quintana Roo are five star and above. It has large hotels, exclusive resorts and small boutique havens. Luxury rooms, first class facilities, world-class spas and exquisite service are the norm here.
The big resorts are concentrated along the Cancún and Cozumel hotel strips. In the Riviera Maya, in addition to the all-inclusive resorts, the offer is extended to boutique hotels that offer luxurious experiences. These boutique hotels can also be found throughout the state, inland and to the north, where it is also possible to host events, such as Holbox, which offers direct contact with the surrounding nature.

The State offers three state-of-the-art convention centres. The Cancún Centre Conventions & Exhibitions, with panoramic views of the Caribbean and close to the hotels, is the ideal place for congresses, with 7,018 m2 space in 13 dividable meeting rooms, and for exhibitions, with a further 7,296 m2 in additional space. This venue has hosted events for up to 6,000 participants and exhibitions of up to 40,000 attendees.
The modern Cozumel Convention Centre, located in the centre of the town beside the sea, offers 1,750 m2 of dividable space and capacity for 1,600 people.
Finally, the Chetumal International Business and Convention Centre, which opened in 2008, has seven rooms and all the services for holding events.
Additionally, many hotels and resorts have facilities totalling over 50,000 m2 of additional available space.

The sea offers endless possibilities for incentive groups or pre- or post-event activities. Relax on pristine beaches, go on a boat trip in the Tiburón Ballena Biosphere Reserve, go bird watching or on a boat trip in Sian Ka’an. There is also adventure tourism in Holbox, snorkelling in Akumal, and diving excursions or trips to the spectacular Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, Banco Chinchorro or Xcalak.

If you are looking for an ecological destination, don’t hesitate to consider Holbox and Isla Mujeres and its boutique hotels, or Chetumal, in the south of the State, to delight your guests with a view of its bay.
