More than 600 species of birds, Chiapas is a paradise for birdwatchers. Get close-up to Boca del Cielo or La Encrucijada to see water birds such as the endemic giant wren. In the cloud forests like El Triunfo and Volcán Tacaná you will find species that are usually difficult to spot, such as the horned guan and the mythical quetzal.
